The HATCHERY TASTING BOX continues to inspire me month after month. In discovering new spices, sauces, syrups etc… I have had to think outside the box when preparing our daily meals, and if I can’t think of anything the Hatchery kindly suggests menus and recipes.
HEIDI’S SALSA HAPPY MEDIUM SALSA. A lovely salsa, not to hot with roasted H tach green chilies and an abundance of lemon and lime juices. A very summery salsa goes great with a cold Corona.
OLIVELLE TOASTED COCONUT WHITE BALSAMIC VINEGAR & TAHITIAN LIME OLIVE OIL. Simply delicious, you can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Went simple with these drizzling them over a jicama salad and over stewed mangoes. I can’t wait to try more of these inventive combinations.
LORI’S SALT CARAMEL SYRUP Perfect and not too sweet. Drizzled over poached pears topped with homemade vanilla gelato. Can’t recommend enough.
STUART & CO ALL PURPOSE SPICE RUB. A great rub that inspires international dishes versus standard US BBQ. Used on chicken wings which I baked with some baby bok choy and a touch of Korean barbeque marinade
KING KNISH FIVE SPICE(Y) KETCHUP. Smelled great. Unfortunately the jar had leaked in transit so I was afraid to taste it..
